How To Automatically Round Up Your Purchases?

Each time you use your Debit Card for a purchase (signature or PIN transaction), our automatic savings tool will round up the amount to the nearest dollar and add that change to your “Stash Your Cash” deposit total for each day.

At the end of each business day, our smart savings tool will deposit your total “change” into your Beacon Savings Account.

Your Change. Deposited.

You go shopping on Tuesday and buy the following…
  • $24.45 at Target. (Your change would be 55 cents, when you round up to $25)
  • $56.23 at Best Buy. (Your change would be 77 cents, when you round up to $57)
  • $91.15 at Kroger. (Your change would be 85 cents, when you round up to $92)
Tuesday night, $2.17 will automatically deposit into your Beacon Savings account from your Checking.

"Stash Your Cash" FAQs

How do I enroll in "Stash Your Cash"?

Click here to fill out the “Stash Your Cash” registration form or visit a Beacon branch or call 434.237.1566 and a representative can help you get started.

You must have a debit card, a checking account and a savings account with Beacon Credit Union to participate.
The “Stash Your Cash” transfer takes place at the end of the business day on which your purchase posts to your checking account.
Debit card purchases will post to your account in the amounts that the purchase was made and will appear on in your account the same as they always have. The “Stash Your Cash” transfer will display as “Stash Your Cash W/D” and will only post once per day, if a transaction is processed for that day.
Only PIN and signature purchases will be included in “Stash Your Cash” transfers. No bill payments or automated payments are included.

A “Stash Your Cash” transfer will not occur if (1) the entire amount of the daily transfer is not available and (2) if there is a negative balance on the checking account.
